By using Chess Maze — this website at chess-maze.com, the game at play.chess-maze.com, or related pages — you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Chess Maze is operated by DotPerfect Studio (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

1. The service

Chess Maze is a browser-based puzzle game hosted at play.chess-maze.com, together with this public website of guides and studio information at chess-maze.com. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We try to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

2. Accounts

You may play as a guest or register with a username and password or Google sign-in on the game site. You are responsible for keeping credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and choose a display name that is not offensive or misleading.

You must be old enough to use online services in your country. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Chess Maze only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• cheat, exploit bugs, or interfere with fair play or leaderboards;
• harass other players or submit offensive display names or content;
• attempt to access accounts, systems, or data without authorization;
• use bots, scrapers, or automated tools without our permission;
• upload malware or content that violates law or third-party rights;
• reverse engineer or copy the service except where permitted by law.

4. User-created content

If you create or submit levels or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within Chess Maze and related promotional materials. You represent that you have the rights to submit the content and that it does not infringe others’ rights.

We may review, remove, or reject community submissions at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms.

5. Leaderboards and progress

Game progress, scores, and leaderboard rankings are stored on our systems for logged-in users. We may reset, adjust, or remove progress or rankings if we detect cheating, abuse, or errors.

6. Advertising

The game at play.chess-maze.com may show advertisements provided by third parties, including display ads and optional rewarded ads (for example extra lives). Ad availability and content may vary by region and your cookie choices.

The marketing and guide website at chess-maze.com does not show ads and is not advertising inventory. See our Privacy Policy for how ad-related data is handled on the game.

7. Intellectual property

Chess Maze, including its art, code, levels, branding, and design, is owned by DotPerfect Studio or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the service or its content, except for the limited license to use the service and submit user content as described above.

8. Termination

You may stop using Chess Maze at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your account poses a risk to the service or other users.

9. Disclaimers

Chess Maze is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or meet your expectations.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DotPerfect Studio and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Chess Maze. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) EUR 50.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may require you to accept the updated Terms before continuing to use certain features.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Croatia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.
